Weren't we supposed to be flying to Jupiter by 2010? I see that this movie is on tonight so I think I'll watch it to see what is going to happen this year.

Last night during the New Year's celebration in New York, they kept referring to the Y2K events of 10 years ago. It is hard to believe that 10 years have gone by since that time. I was the CIO at my company in the year leading up to that time and we did an enormous amount of work to prepare for the transition. However, I remember my CEO asking me two months before the turn of the century what I thought was going to happen and I told him it was going to be a non-event. Tada. It was a non-event.

Happy New Year to all.
