Another good post from HBT about dealing with uncertainty. I wrote a while back about Light Over Darkness where some of the same ideas were discussed. I really believe that the world has done a major reset in many aspects of our lives and that we can not expect to return to the way things were before, however they were before. If you had a pay cut, you probably can't expect it to return. If you lost a lot in the stock market, you might be able to see it return, but the time horizon might be longer than you realize. If you think and hope it will return in the short term, you are probably wrong.

It just seems that we need to get our heads around this turbulent time and realize that is just the way it is. Get used to it. Learn to ride the waves. Do the best you can and help someone else along the way. Perhaps the course has changed.

  1. Your post reminds me of something a good friend used to say, "Deal with what IS." Forget the "woulda, coulda, shoulda," deal with what is, and move on. Maybe we would have done a few things differently knowing what we know now, or maybe not, but we must carry on. Thanks for the encouragement.
