As 2010 winds down, I came across a blog post about Editing the Playlist of My Life which I marked as a favorite and have re-read several times. Instead of focusing on the music in my life (or books or movies) I was thinking about this in a more generic fashion, just wondering about what is playing in my life as I go through my days.
The question is what is playing in my head and what is occupying my time? What do you think about first thing in the morning and before you go to sleep in the evening?
I'm going to stop worrying about some things and start thinking about new things. I'm going to work much harder at connecting with the people around me. I've purchased a couple of books on this last topic and I'm looking for more ideas and thoughts on the subject.

Nativity
Dean sent me a link to this Youtube video entitled a "Digital Story of the Nativity" which is amusing and interesting.
I happen to believe the Nativity story and I've thought about why it took place at that point in history. Why not 1000 years earlier or 2000 years later?
It seems that if it is was much earlier then spreading the word around the world would have been much harder. Roman roads would not have been in place and some form of stability (although complete with Roman harshness) would not have been in place. Courts and rules of law were a part of the story as well and those were needed.
Why would it have been later? Perhaps it came at exactly the right time in history where the story could spread successfully. Later would have just been late.
